The Orchard Store will again be having their Annual PUMPKIN THROWING CONTEST!

This contest will be held during Honey Fest. The winner of each age bracket will receive a trophy.

$2/ CASH Entry Fee per Person. Open to All Ages. Pre-register in-store or via the EventBrite Link. Please Message us with your Name / Age for the Entry.

Contest Information:
* The Contest Brackets are Co-Ed by Age.
* Each Contestant gets one chance to throw a pumpkin :)
* The distance is measured based on where the pumpkin lands (not rolls)
* The contestant who throws the furthest, WINS!

During the 6th annual FREE HONEY TASTING EVENT (Indoors Rain or Shine) at Old Homestead - several varieties of RAW Honey will be available to taste test. These include Raw Honey from our Hives, plus Locust, Basswood, Buckwheat, Wildflower & Clover. We will also have Florida honey's available ... Orange Blossom and Tupelo. And Michigan honey's available... Star Thistle Blossom, Blueberry and Goldenrod. (These are not flavored honey, but rather Raw Honey that is produced based on the blossoms near the Hives). We have also added Apple Flavored Honey this year. And Creamed Honey made with freeze dried Blackberry, Cranberry & Raspberry, Cinnamon, Jalapeno and Lemon. And Honey Mustard. Stop by and sample the unique flavor differences in the honeys.

Honey sticks and honey bears will be available for purchase. Come and taste "natures nectar" at the orchard store! We will also have Honey Comb, Creamed Honey and more available.

Lindsey from Droughtville Farms is our resident beekeeper & will be available to answer any bee questions you may have! She has over 5 years of bee keeping experience and is a member of the local Beekeepers Club (Racine Kenosha Beekeepers Association Page). Lindsey has put on several beekeeping workshops through the UW Extension.

U-PICK APPLES: Honey Crisp (limited), Jonathan, Ida Red (limited), Red Delicious, Yellow Delicious and Cortland (limited)

PRE-PICKED VARIETIES: Gala, Wolf River and Red Delicious

CAFE/BAKERY: Our bakery will be open with BEE Cookies, HONEY & Ice Cream, Caramel Apples, Apple Nachos, Apple Cider Donuts, Bakery, Fresh Pressed Cider, HONEY Lemonade, Cider Brats, Hot Dogs and more! Picnic tables are available. Or bring a blanket for a picnic on the lawn. You are also welcome to bring your own food.

Our kiddie play area, poultry zoo, antique shop and more will be open during this event.

PAYMENT: CASH ONLY. ATM Available on-site.

NO DOGS/PETS ALLOWED on the Property.
